Gen 2, Chapter 5: Totally Spies

Throughout the years, every one of the Adams heiresses had their special hobbies, the one activity they could always turn to when times got rough. Evelyn had her painting. Penny had her violin, and if there was one thing that Lucy had growing up, it was chess. After school, she'd always ask her father to drive her to the library or the park to play chess. If her father was busy, she'd walk to the library to play chess. Why chess? Growing up, Lucy lived in a three-room house; There was a kitchen, a bathroom, and a single (though rather large) bedroom, where everyone slept together no matter how old they were. Needless to say, Lucy needed some money in her life, lest the family go another generation living in the same house that their grandmother was raised in. So, when she heard about the possibility of working as a government agent and the cash that came with the job, all she wanted to do was make sure she got a head start into a better life for her family, even if it would...

Gen 2, Chapter 4: Branson

Of all the ways Lucy could've met the boy of her dreams, Penny never would've guessed that it would be at a park where they both happened to be playing on the monkey bars.  No, it's not like they had just become children, with both of them right on the cusp of entering high school, but still, she was considerably younger than either of the two previous Adams women had been when they had their first romantic encounters, and Penny had to give her credit for that. Lucy and Branson, the first time they met, were inseparable, spending hours at the park together. Even when Branson started high school, he would still come over and hang out with Lucy, but felt more like a big brother figure than a love interest for a while. Still, everything changed when Lucy came to his high school, with Branson instantly claiming her as his own before any of the many other boys who had their eyes on her could whisk her away. (Though, as Penny looked back on things, it felt more like he saw ...

Gen 2, Chapter 3: The Krysta Story

"I really don't mind long stories, Leroy. In this family, we're all about having a story to tell, remember?" "But you really should get some sleep, don't you have work in the morning?" "You being upset is a lot more important than how I feel at work in the morning. I'll just take off if I'm that tired when I've got to leave." "Alright then, I guess it's story time. The story starts about seven years ago, when I had just gotten out of teen hood when I first met one of the local gym trainers, Krysta Vera. With her long black hair, beautiful body, and feminine walk, there was no way I could ever resist going into a relationship with her from the moment they first made eye contact, despite her toxic ways. Of course, I didn't know any better before I met you." Penny giggled a little before letting the silence sit again, now taking a sleeping Lucy who was right across the room into account, but she was still unsu...

In Memorium: Evelyn Adams

Image
Evelyn Adams  Legacy Founder Beloved mother of Goldie Adams (deceased) Blaine Adams, Grayson Adams, and Penny Adams. Wife of Nigel Speer-Adams (deceased) For as long as she lived in Newcrest, you could always spot Evelyn right outside her home working on her next painting. She made children all around the world smile with each and every one of her illustrations, and she still managed to bring happiness to her own children as well, as they carry on her legacy so she will forever be remembered. Evelyn, you may be gone from our lives now, but you will never be forgotten

Gen 2, Chapter 2: Nikki

Two times over Penny had gotten pregnant, and both times the end result was a baby boy. Sure, having a boy wasn't a bad thing- of course, it wasn't, Penny was more than thrilled to be a mother. But still, time went by, and she needed a girl to satisfy her mother's wishes of having a matriarchy, and as she got older, that dream went further and further away. It wasn't long until she would become a full-fledged middle-aged adult soon, though she shuttered at the thought. It's not the growing older part that worried her. The fact was if she waited any longer, her children would have to watch her die. But she couldn't   wouldn't have that for her children. And so, as sorry as it made her, she eventually coped with having two options. Either betray her mother's wish of having a matriarchy on the second generation, or suck it up and adopt a girl from the orphanage. She also knew she needed Leroy's input, and he was terrified even at just the thought. ...

Gen 2, Chapter 1: Penny for Your thoughts

A little while longer, and, for the first time in her life, Penny was alone.  The brothers of the family were now both living with Blaine, caring for a sick, grieving Zara. (Her father and mother died just a week apart, and the postpartum depression she was going through wasn't doing her any favors either.) Speaking of sick, their mother wasn't doing any better, and so they all had decided that sending her to the old folks' home was for the best. For now, Penny was alone in the tiny little family home her mother had raised her in, and she was now determined to never wait; While that may seem like bad morals, having your dad die right in front of your eyes of old age because he had waited too long to have you seemed like a pretty good reason to cut to the chase. Surely, whatever gods had control over fate and love would give her just as much success as they had her mother, right? Wrong. There was only one man she had her eyes on, and he liked playing hard to get. L...
